TRANSPARENT PLATE ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT (WIRELESS TREATMENT)
Treatment using a transparent plate (transparent device), which is a non-parenthesis treatment method, is a mobile orthodontic treatment method used as an alternative to parenthesis for adult patients. More and more orthodontists are using this method to treat tooth loss, stagnation, crevices and irregular growth. Metal wires and brackets are not used in transparent plates. The patient can easily remove and put on these plates before eating, brushing or using floss.
Treatment of plaque with transparent plates is the least obvious and most convenient for teeth in systems with transparent braces. Therefore, it is known as “wireless orthodontic treatment” among people. Most patients come to the orthodontist, thinking that they will wear a transparent device. However, this method may not be suitable for each patient. Transparent plates cannot be used for common orthodontic disorders.
WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF CLEAR PLATES (INVISIBLE CORRECTIVE APPLIANCES)?
Although patients who turn to us for orthodontic treatment are usually asked to straighten their teeth, they don’t want the corrective devices to be noticeable. Orthodontic corrective appliances could be corrective metal devices, which are known like brackets, porcelain brackets, known as clear braces or invisible aligners, lingual brackets and clear removable plates. In addition to being a corrector, these are the only clear plates that can be removed at any time and are almost invisible when worn. Although their invisibility is an advantage, the disadvantage is that removing them, the treatment is interrupted. Therefore, the effectiveness of treatment depends on many factors, especially on cooperation with the patient. While fixed orthodontic appliances provides continuous tooth correction, tooth correction with clear plates depends on the patient’s daily wearing time. Some patients wear their clear plates only at night, but once they tried to wear them during the day, they notice that it is convenient and imperceptible, and begin to use them day and night.
WIRELESS ORTHODONTICS WILL HELP YOU TO HAVE EVEN TEETH
As with all types of treatment, diagnosis, treatment plan and treatment goals also are very important in orthodontic treatment, and if they are defined correctly, the mechanics of treatment will be successful. If all the necessary medical information is provided, and the details of the treatment mechanism and the treatment goals that will used will be determined together with the patient, successful results will be achieved since the patient will be included in the treatment with a high level of motivation and the patient’s expectations will be realistic. In this context, clear removable plates seem to be the most motivating treatment mechanics.
IS THERE ANY ALTERNATIVE TO INVISIBLE PLATES?
YES. If your orthodontic problem is at an advanced level, and the desired result cannot be achieved wearing invisible plates, and at the same time you are worried about the appearance of the brackets, porcelain (ceramic) braces may be your most preferred option. Since they are less pronounced than metal brackets, they provide a more aesthetic appearance throughout the treatment. They are also known as invisible brackets. Your doctor will explain the most suitable braces option after your orthodontic examination.
